परं॑ मृत्यो॒ अनु॒ परे॑हि॒ पन्थां॒ यस्ते॒ स्व इत॑रो देव॒याना॑त् । चक्षु॑ष्मते शृण्व॒ते ते॑ ब्रवीमि॒ मा न॑: प्र॒जां री॑रिषो॒ मोत वी॒रान् ॥
परं मृत्यो अनु परेहि पन्थां यस्ते स्व इतरो देवयानात् । चक्षुष्मते शृण्वते ते ब्रवीमि मा नः प्रजां रीरिषो मोत वीरान् ॥
param mṛtyo anu parehi panthāṃ yas te sva itaro devayānāt | cakṣuṣmate śṛṇvate te bravīmi mā naḥ prajāṃ rīriṣo mota vīrān ||
English translation:
“Depart, Mṛtyu, by a different path; by that which is your own, and distinct from the path of the gods; Ispeak to you who have eyes, who have ears; do no harm to our offspring, nor to our male progeny.”
