यौ ते॒ श्वानौ॑ यम रक्षि॒तारौ॑ चतुर॒क्षौ प॑थि॒रक्षी॑ नृ॒चक्ष॑सौ । ताभ्या॑मेनं॒ परि॑ देहि राजन्त्स्व॒स्ति चा॑स्मा अनमी॒वं च॑ धेहि ॥
यौ ते श्वानौ यम रक्षितारौ चतुरक्षौ पथिरक्षी नृचक्षसौ । ताभ्यामेनं परि देहि राजन्त्स्वस्ति चास्मा अनमीवं च धेहि ॥
yau te śvānau yama rakṣitārau caturakṣau pathirakṣī nṛcakṣasau | tābhyām enam pari dehi rājan svasti cāsmā anamīvaṃ ca dhehi ||
English translation:
“Entrust him, O king, to your two dogs, which are your protectors, Yama, the four-eyed guardians of theroad, renowned by men, and grant him prosperity and health.”
