Rig Veda 10.5.6

स॒प्त म॒र्यादा॑: क॒वय॑स्ततक्षु॒स्तासा॒मेका॒मिद॒भ्यं॑हु॒रो गा॑त् । आ॒योर्ह॑ स्क॒म्भ उ॑प॒मस्य॑ नी॒ळे प॒थां वि॑स॒र्गे ध॒रुणे॑षु तस्थौ ॥
सप्त मर्यादाः कवयस्ततक्षुस्तासामेकामिदभ्यंहुरो गात् । आयोर्ह स्कम्भ उपमस्य नीळे पथां विसर्गे धरुणेषु तस्थौ ॥
sapta maryādāḥ kavayas tatakṣus tāsām ekām id abhy aṃhuro gāt | āyor ha skambha upamasya nīḻe pathāṃ visarge dharuṇeṣu tasthau ||

English translation:

“The ise have established seven rules of conduct; he is a sinner who deviates from any one of theṃAgni is the obstructor of (that) man, he abides in the dwelling of his neighbour, in the region of the scattering ofthe rays, and in the recipient (waters).”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Manu 7.50-51: the passage implies the presence of Agni in the threeworlds, as fire on earth, the sun in the sky, and lightning in the firmament. THe support of life is in the dwelling ofthe most high; it stands on the firm ground at the plural ce where the paths divide
