होता॑रं चि॒त्रर॑थमध्व॒रस्य॑ य॒ज्ञस्य॑यज्ञस्य के॒तुं रुश॑न्तम् । प्रत्य॑र्धिं दे॒वस्य॑देवस्य म॒ह्ना श्रि॒या त्व१॒॑ग्निमति॑थिं॒ जना॑नाम् ॥
होतारं चित्ररथमध्वरस्य यज्ञस्ययज्ञस्य केतुं रुशन्तम् । प्रत्यर्धिं देवस्यदेवस्य मह्ना श्रिया त्वग्निमतिथिं जनानाम् ॥
hotāraṃ citraratham adhvarasya yajñasya-yajñasya ketuṃ ruśantam | pratyardhiṃ devasya-devasya mahnā śriyā tv agnim atithiṃ janānām ||

English translation:

“(We worship) Agni for prosperity, you, who are the invoker of the gods, the many-colouredconveyance of the saacrifice, the brilliant banner of every offering, the surpasser of every other deity in might, theguest of men.”
