स॒हस्र॑धा॒रेऽव॒ ता अ॑स॒श्चत॑स्तृ॒तीये॑ सन्तु॒ रज॑सि प्र॒जाव॑तीः । चत॑स्रो॒ नाभो॒ निहि॑ता अ॒वो दि॒वो ह॒विर्भ॑रन्त्य॒मृतं॑ घृत॒श्चुत॑: ॥
सहस्रधारेऽव ता असश्चतस्तृतीये सन्तु रजसि प्रजावतीः । चतस्रो नाभो निहिता अवो दिवो हविर्भरन्त्यमृतं घृतश्चुतः ॥
sahasradhāre 'va tā asaścatas tṛtīye santu rajasi prajāvatīḥ | catasro nābho nihitā avo divo havir bharanty amṛtaṃ ghṛtaścutaḥ ||
English translation:
“May those (juices) which are in the third world, the world of many streams, unconnected, bestowing progeny, descend; the four digits (of the Soma) sent down from heaven bearing water bring the oblation and the nectar.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
The four digits: nābhaḥ = rays, dīptayaḥ; or, digits (kalaḥ) of the Soma; derived from nābhas, heaven and the root naḥ, to bind (nābhaḥ = nabhaso bādhikaḥ, obstructing heaven)
