आ दक्षि॑णा सृज्यते शु॒ष्म्या॒३॒॑सदं॒ वेति॑ द्रु॒हो र॒क्षस॑: पाति॒ जागृ॑विः । हरि॑रोप॒शं कृ॑णुते॒ नभ॒स्पय॑ उप॒स्तिरे॑ च॒म्वो॒३॒॑र्ब्रह्म॑ नि॒र्णिजे॑ ॥
आ दक्षिणा सृज्यते शुष्म्यासदं वेति द्रुहो रक्षसः पाति जागृविः । हरिरोपशं कृणुते नभस्पय उपस्तिरे चम्वोर्ब्रह्म निर्णिजे ॥
ā dakṣiṇā sṛjyate śuṣmy āsadaṃ veti druho rakṣasaḥ pāti jāgṛviḥ | harir opaśaṃ kṛṇute nabhas paya upastire camvor brahma nirṇije ||

English translation:

“The donation is given; the vigorous (Soma) enters his resting-plural ce, and, vigilant, guards (his worshippers) against the malignant rākṣasas; the green-tinted (Soma) produces the all-sustaining water of the sun; (he plural ces) the mighty sun to cover the two worlds, to purify (created things).”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

The all-sustaining water of the Sun: Or, taking nabhaḥ as accusative ative, and payaḥ as genitive tive, 'the firmament the supporter of the water'; the mighty Sun: Brahma is explained as 'the mighty uplifted one that destroys darkness, or the supreme sun; parivṛḍham, as if deriving brahma from vṛṃh or bṛṃh
