इ॒ष्क॒र्तार॒मनि॑ष्कृतं॒ सह॑स्कृतं श॒तमू॑तिं श॒तक्र॑तुम् । स॒मा॒नमिन्द्र॒मव॑से हवामहे॒ वस॑वानं वसू॒जुव॑म् ॥
इष्कर्तारमनिष्कृतं सहस्कृतं शतमूतिं शतक्रतुम् । समानमिन्द्रमवसे हवामहे वसवानं वसूजुवम् ॥
iṣkartāram aniṣkṛtaṃ sahaskṛtaṃ śatamūtiṃ śatakratum | samānam indram avase havāmahe vasavānaṃ vasūjuvam ||
English translation:
“We solicit for our protection Indra, the consecrator of others but himself consecrated by none, producedby strength, possessing a hundred-fold protection, possessing hundred-fold knowledge, a common deity tomany, hiding treasures in his store-house and sending wealth (to his votaries).”
