द्वि॒ता यो वृ॑त्र॒हन्त॑मो वि॒द इन्द्र॑: श॒तक्र॑तुः । उप॑ नो॒ हरि॑भिः सु॒तम् ॥
द्विता यो वृत्रहन्तमो विद इन्द्रः शतक्रतुः । उप नो हरिभिः सुतम् ॥
dvitā yo vṛtrahantamo vida indraḥ śatakratuḥ | upa no haribhiḥ sutam ||
English translation:
“Indra, Śatakratu, mightiest slayer of Vṛtra, you whose power is known in a two-fold way, come withyour steeds to our effused libation.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Whose power is known in a two-fold way: i.e., you are known in your terribleform as the slayer of Vṛtra, etc., and in your merciful form as the protector of the world
