इ॒यं ते॒ नव्य॑सी म॒तिरग्ने॒ अधा॑य्य॒स्मदा । मन्द्र॒ सुजा॑त॒ सुक्र॒तोऽमू॑र॒ दस्माति॑थे ॥
इयं ते नव्यसी मतिरग्ने अधाय्यस्मदा । मन्द्र सुजात सुक्रतोऽमूर दस्मातिथे ॥
iyaṃ te navyasī matir agne adhāyy asmad ā | mandra sujāta sukrato 'mūra dasmātithe ||
English translation:
“This new hymn has been made by us for you, O joyful, well-born Agni, glorious in deeds, unbewildered,beautiful, the guest (of man).”
