अव॑ स्वराति॒ गर्ग॑रो गो॒धा परि॑ सनिष्वणत् । पिङ्गा॒ परि॑ चनिष्कद॒दिन्द्रा॑य॒ ब्रह्मोद्य॑तम् ॥
अव स्वराति गर्गरो गोधा परि सनिष्वणत् । पिङ्गा परि चनिष्कददिन्द्राय ब्रह्मोद्यतम् ॥
ava svarāti gargaro godhā pari saniṣvaṇat | piṅgā pari caniṣkadad indrāya brahmodyatam ||

English translation:

“The drum utters its sound, the leathern guard twangs, the tawny bowstring leaps to and fro; let thehymn be raised to Indra.”
