आजि॑पते नृपते॒ त्वमिद्धि नो॒ वाज॒ आ व॑क्षि सुक्रतो । वी॒ती होत्रा॑भिरु॒त दे॒ववी॑तिभिः सस॒वांसो॒ वि शृ॑ण्विरे ॥
आजिपते नृपते त्वमिद्धि नो वाज आ वक्षि सुक्रतो । वीती होत्राभिरुत देववीतिभिः ससवांसो वि शृण्विरे ॥
ājipate nṛpate tvam id dhi no vāja ā vakṣi sukrato | vītī hotrābhir uta devavītibhiḥ sasavāṃso vi śṛṇvire ||
English translation:
“O lord of battle, lord of men, mighty in action, do you guide us in the conflict; far-famed are those whoobtain their desires by sacrificial feasts, by invocations, and by entertaining the gods.”
