Rig Veda 8.47.6

प॒रि॒ह्वृ॒तेद॒ना जनो॑ यु॒ष्माद॑त्तस्य वायति । देवा॒ अद॑भ्रमाश वो॒ यमा॑दित्या॒ अहे॑तनाने॒हसो॑ व ऊ॒तय॑: सु॒तयो॑ व ऊ॒तय॑: ॥
परिह्वृतेदना जनो युष्मादत्तस्य वायति । देवा अदभ्रमाश वो यमादित्या अहेतनानेहसो व ऊतयः सुतयो व ऊतयः ॥
parihvṛted anā jano yuṣmādattasya vāyati | devā adabhram āśa vo yam ādityā ahetanānehaso va ūtayaḥ suūtayo va ūtayaḥ ||

English translation:

“Only by painful means does a living man obtain the wealth which you bestow; but he whom you, divineĀdityas, visit, wins great (riches); your aids are void of harm, your aids are true aids.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

By painful means = bypenance, religious observances; a living ma: ana = prāṇa-yuktaḥ, endowed with life; (RV 4.30.3):prāṇarūpena balena; or, just a particle, 'certainly'; verily men succumb through the loss of the wealth given byyou?; āśa vaḥ = āśavaḥ, swiftly moving
