Rig Veda 8.43.6
Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:
कृ॒ष्णा रजां॑सि पत्सु॒तः प्र॒याणे॑ जा॒तवे॑दसः । अ॒ग्निर्यद्रोध॑ति॒ क्षमि॑ ॥
कृष्णा रजांसि पत्सुतः प्रयाणे जातवेदसः । अग्निर्यद्रोधति क्षमि ॥
kṛṣṇā rajāṃsi patsutaḥ prayāṇe jātavedasaḥ | agnir yad rodhati kṣami ||
English translation:
“Black dust is raised by the feet of Jātavedas when he moves, when Agni spreads on the earth.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Whenagni spread the earth: agnir yad rodhati kṣami = when agni heaps (the dry trees) on the ground;
Rodhati = rush,whatever grows on the earth
