Rig Veda 8.28.4

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

यथा॒ वश॑न्ति दे॒वास्तथेद॑स॒त्तदे॑षां॒ नकि॒रा मि॑नत् । अरा॑वा च॒न मर्त्य॑: ॥
यथा वशन्ति देवास्तथेदसत्तदेषां नकिरा मिनत् । अरावा चन मर्त्यः ॥
yathā vaśanti devās tathed asat tad eṣāṃ nakir ā minat | arāvā cana martyaḥ ||

English translation:

“Whatever the gods desire, that assuredly comes to pass; no one can resist their (will), no mortalwithholds (their) offerings.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
