Rig Veda 8.23.25

अति॑थिं॒ मानु॑षाणां सू॒नुं वन॒स्पती॑नाम् । विप्रा॑ अ॒ग्निमव॑से प्र॒त्नमी॑ळते ॥
अतिथिं मानुषाणां सूनुं वनस्पतीनाम् । विप्रा अग्निमवसे प्रत्नमीळते ॥
atithim mānuṣāṇāṃ sūnuṃ vanaspatīnām | viprā agnim avase pratnam īḻate ||

English translation:

“Pious men glorify the ancient Agni, the guest of men, the son of the trees, for protection.”
