Rig Veda 8.12.30

य॒दा सूर्य॑म॒मुं दि॒वि शु॒क्रं ज्योति॒रधा॑रयः । आदित्ते॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि येमिरे ॥
यदा सूर्यममुं दिवि शुक्रं ज्योतिरधारयः । आदित्ते विश्वा भुवनानि येमिरे ॥
yadā sūryam amuṃ divi śukraṃ jyotir adhārayaḥ | ād it te viśvā bhuvanāni yemire ||

English translation:

“Whenyou had plural ced yonder pure light, the sun, in the sky, then all existing beings were subject untoyou.”
