Rig Veda 8.12.27

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

य॒दा ते॒ विष्णु॒रोज॑सा॒ त्रीणि॑ प॒दा वि॑चक्र॒मे । आदित्ते॑ हर्य॒ता हरी॑ ववक्षतुः ॥
यदा ते विष्णुरोजसा त्रीणि पदा विचक्रमे । आदित्ते हर्यता हरी ववक्षतुः ॥
yadā te viṣṇur ojasā trīṇi padā vicakrame | ād it te haryatā harī vavakṣatuḥ ||

English translation:

“When your (younger brother) Viṣṇu by (his) strength stepped his three paces, then verily your belovedhorses bore you.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Viṣṇu: yadā te viṣṇur ojasā = when Viṣṇu by your strength; or, te tavānujaḥ; veily yourbeloved horses: ād it te haryatā (kāntau) harī vavakṣatuḥ, its having served as the burden of the ttwopreceding ṛcas
