आ नो॑ यात॒मुप॑श्रु॒त्यश्वि॑ना॒ सोम॑पीतये । स्वाहा॒ स्तोम॑स्य वर्धना॒ प्र क॑वी धी॒तिभि॑र्नरा ॥
आ नो यातमुपश्रुत्यश्विना सोमपीतये । स्वाहा स्तोमस्य वर्धना प्र कवी धीतिभिर्नरा ॥
ā no yātam upaśruty aśvinā somapītaye | svāhā stomasya vardhanā pra kavī dhītibhir narā ||
English translation:
“Come, Aśvins, to drink the Soma at our sacrifice, you who are praised (by him) and honoured by hispious acts, benefactors of the worshipper, sages and leaders of rites.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Svāhā stomasya vardhanā pra kavīdhītibhir narā: svāhā = voc. dual, svāhākṛtau svāhākāreṇa iṣṭau, worshipped with the termsvāhā;
Svāhā = vā or stuti, vācā stutau;
Stomasya = stotuḥ; dhītibhi... nara = karmabhir yaṣṭuhpravardhakau bhavatam; or, buddhibhir ātmīyaiḥ karmabhir vā sarveṣām netārau
