Rig Veda 8.7.22

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

समु॒ त्ये म॑ह॒तीर॒पः सं क्षो॒णी समु॒ सूर्य॑म् । सं वज्रं॑ पर्व॒शो द॑धुः ॥
समु त्ये महतीरपः सं क्षोणी समु सूर्यम् । सं वज्रं पर्वशो दधुः ॥
sam u tye mahatīr apaḥ saṃ kṣoṇī sam u sūryam | saṃ vajram parvaśo dadhuḥ ||

English translation:

“They have concentrated the abundant waters, they have held together the heaven and earth, they havesustained the sun, they have divided (Vṛtra) joint by joint with the thunderbolt.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
