Rig Veda 8.6.9

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

प्र तमि॑न्द्र नशीमहि र॒यिं गोम॑न्तम॒श्विन॑म् । प्र ब्रह्म॑ पू॒र्वचि॑त्तये ॥
प्र तमिन्द्र नशीमहि रयिं गोमन्तमश्विनम् । प्र ब्रह्म पूर्वचित्तये ॥
pra tam indra naśīmahi rayiṃ gomantam aśvinam | pra brahma pūrvacittaye ||

English translation:

“May we obtain, Indra, that wealth which comprises cattle, horses, and food, before it be known toothers.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Or, so as to know it, i.e. gain it, before others: anyebhyaḥ pūrvameva jñānāya
