अव॒ सिन्धुं॒ वरु॑णो॒ द्यौरि॑व स्थाद्द्र॒प्सो न श्वे॒तो मृ॒गस्तुवि॑ष्मान् । ग॒म्भी॒रशं॑सो॒ रज॑सो वि॒मान॑: सुपा॒रक्ष॑त्रः स॒तो अ॒स्य राजा॑ ॥
अव सिन्धुं वरुणो द्यौरिव स्थाद्द्रप्सो न श्वेतो मृगस्तुविष्मान् । गम्भीरशंसो रजसो विमानः सुपारक्षत्रः सतो अस्य राजा ॥
ava sindhuṃ varuṇo dyaur iva sthād drapso na śveto mṛgas tuviṣmān | gambhīraśaṃso rajaso vimānaḥ supārakṣatraḥ sato asya rājā ||

English translation:

“(Radiant) as the sun, Varuṇa plural ced the ocean (in its bed) white as a drop (of water), vigorous as anantelope, objects of profound praise, distributor of water, the powerful transporter beyond sin, the ruler of thisexisting (world).”
