Rig Veda 7.38.7

शं नो॑ भवन्तु वा॒जिनो॒ हवे॑षु दे॒वता॑ता मि॒तद्र॑वः स्व॒र्काः । ज॒म्भय॒न्तोऽहिं॒ वृकं॒ रक्षां॑सि॒ सने॑म्य॒स्मद्यु॑यव॒न्नमी॑वाः ॥
शं नो भवन्तु वाजिनो हवेषु देवताता मितद्रवः स्वर्काः । जम्भयन्तोऽहिं वृकं रक्षांसि सनेम्यस्मद्युयवन्नमीवाः ॥
śaṃ no bhavantu vājino haveṣu devatātā mitadravaḥ svarkāḥ | jambhayanto 'hiṃ vṛkaṃ rakṣāṃsi sanemy asmad yuyavann amīvāḥ ||

English translation:

“May the Vājins, with slackened speed, bringing excellent food, be (disposed) for our happiness, uponour invocations at the worship of the gods; destroying the murderer, the robber, the rākṣasas, and keepingfrom us ancient maladies.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Vājins: etadabhidhāyakādevataḥ, divinities so denominated; or aśvaḥ, horse;

Themurderer: jambhayanto ahim vṛkam = destroying the snake, the wolf; or, hantāram coram; vāje vāje haveṣuyuddheṣu = sarvasmin anne upasthite, when all food is near
