श्वि॒त्यञ्चो॑ मा दक्षिण॒तस्क॑पर्दा धियंजि॒न्वासो॑ अ॒भि हि प्र॑म॒न्दुः । उ॒त्तिष्ठ॑न्वोचे॒ परि॑ ब॒र्हिषो॒ नॄन्न मे॑ दू॒रादवि॑तवे॒ वसि॑ष्ठाः ॥
श्वित्यञ्चो मा दक्षिणतस्कपर्दा धियंजिन्वासो अभि हि प्रमन्दुः । उत्तिष्ठन्वोचे परि बर्हिषो नॄन्न मे दूरादवितवे वसिष्ठाः ॥
śvityañco mā dakṣiṇataskapardā dhiyaṃjinvāso abhi hi pramanduḥ | uttiṣṭhan voce pari barhiṣo nṝn na me dūrād avitave vasiṣṭhāḥ ||
English translation:
“The white-complexioned accomplishers of holy ceremonies, wearing the lock of hair on the right side,have afforded me delight, when, rising up I call the leaders (of rites) to the sacred grass; the Vasiṣṭhas, (mysons) should never be far from me.”

White-complexioned: śvity añcaḥ = śvetavarṇaḥ, white- coloured (appliedto the vasiṣṭhas); wearing the lock of hair on the right side: dakṣiṇatas kapardāḥ: kaparda = cūḍa or singlelock of hair left on the top of the head at tonsure; Vasiṣṭhas wear it on the right of the crown of the head,dakṣiṇe śiraso bhāge
