Rig Veda 7.31.6

त्वं वर्मा॑सि स॒प्रथ॑: पुरोयो॒धश्च॑ वृत्रहन् । त्वया॒ प्रति॑ ब्रुवे यु॒जा ॥
त्वं वर्मासि सप्रथः पुरोयोधश्च वृत्रहन् । त्वया प्रति ब्रुवे युजा ॥
tvaṃ varmāsi saprathaḥ puroyodhaś ca vṛtrahan | tvayā prati bruve yujā ||

English translation:

“Slayer of enemies, you, Indra, are our armour, vast and our preceder in battle; with you for my ally I defy(the foe).”
