ता गृ॑णीहि नम॒स्ये॑भिः शू॒षैः सु॒म्नेभि॒रिन्द्रा॒वरु॑णा चका॒ना । वज्रे॑णा॒न्यः शव॑सा॒ हन्ति॑ वृ॒त्रं सिष॑क्त्य॒न्यो वृ॒जने॑षु॒ विप्र॑: ॥
ता गृणीहि नमस्येभिः शूषैः सुम्नेभिरिन्द्रावरुणा चकाना । वज्रेणान्यः शवसा हन्ति वृत्रं सिषक्त्यन्यो वृजनेषु विप्रः ॥
tā gṛṇīhi namasyebhiḥ śūṣaiḥ sumnebhir indrāvaruṇā cakānā | vajreṇānyaḥ śavasā hanti vṛtraṃ siṣakty anyo vṛjaneṣu vipraḥ ||
English translation:
“Praise Mitra and Varuṇa, renowned or all glorious energies and enjoyment; one of whom slays Vṛtra with the thunderbolt, the other, intelligent by his might, comes to the aid (of the pious when) in difficulties.”
