वि यद्वाचं॑ की॒स्तासो॒ भर॑न्ते॒ शंस॑न्ति॒ के चि॑न्नि॒विदो॑ मना॒नाः । आद्वां॑ ब्रवाम स॒त्यान्यु॒क्था नकि॑र्दे॒वेभि॑र्यतथो महि॒त्वा ॥
वि यद्वाचं कीस्तासो भरन्ते शंसन्ति के चिन्निविदो मनानाः । आद्वां ब्रवाम सत्यान्युक्था नकिर्देवेभिर्यतथो महित्वा ॥
vi yad vācaṃ kīstāso bharante śaṃsanti ke cin nivido manānāḥ | ād vām bravāma satyāny ukthā nakir devebhir yatatho mahitvā ||
English translation:
“When the intelligent (priests) offer praise, then some of them, glorifying (Agni and other deities), recite the Nivid hymns; such being the case, we address to you sincere adoration, for in consequence of your greatness you do not associate with (other) divinities.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Na kir devebhir yatathaḥ, you do not go, gacchathaḥ, with other gods, anyair devaiḥ saha, you are not associated with them at sacrifice
