य ईं॒ राजा॑नावृतु॒था वि॒दध॒द्रज॑सो मि॒त्रो वरु॑ण॒श्चिके॑तत् । ग॒म्भी॒राय॒ रक्ष॑से हे॒तिम॑स्य॒ द्रोघा॑य चि॒द्वच॑स॒ आन॑वाय ॥
य ईं राजानावृतुथा विदधद्रजसो मित्रो वरुणश्चिकेतत् । गम्भीराय रक्षसे हेतिमस्य द्रोघाय चिद्वचस आनवाय ॥
ya īṃ rājānāv ṛtuthā vidadhad rajaso mitro varuṇaś ciketat | gambhīrāya rakṣase hetim asya droghāya cid vacasa ānavāya ||
English translation:
“Mitra and Varuṇa recognize him who of all the world worships the royal (Aśvins) in due season; he hurls his weapon against the strong rākṣasa, against the malignant menaces of man.”
