Rig Veda 6.51.6

मा नो॒ वृका॑य वृ॒क्ये॑ समस्मा अघाय॒ते री॑रधता यजत्राः । यू॒यं हि ष्ठा र॒थ्यो॑ नस्त॒नूनां॑ यू॒यं दक्ष॑स्य॒ वच॑सो बभू॒व ॥
मा नो वृकाय वृक्ये समस्मा अघायते रीरधता यजत्राः । यूयं हि ष्ठा रथ्यो नस्तनूनां यूयं दक्षस्य वचसो बभूव ॥
mā no vṛkāya vṛkye samasmā aghāyate rīradhatā yajatrāḥ | yūyaṃ hi ṣṭhā rathyo nas tanūnāṃ yūyaṃ dakṣasya vacaso babhūva ||

English translation:

“Subject us not, adorable (deities), to the robber or his wife; not to any one designing us harm; for you are the regulators of our person ns, of our strength, of our speech.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

To the robber: mā no vṛkāya vṛkye rīradhatā: hiṃsakāya, stenāya, to the injurer, the thief; tasya stiyai, to his woman or wife; vṛka may mean wild-dog or wolf, araṇya śvān; vṛki is a feminine le wolf
