आ यः प॒प्रौ भा॒नुना॒ रोद॑सी उ॒भे धू॒मेन॑ धावते दि॒वि । ति॒रस्तमो॑ ददृश॒ ऊर्म्या॒स्वा श्या॒वास्व॑रु॒षो वृषा श्या॒वा अ॑रु॒षो वृषा॑ ॥
आ यः पप्रौ भानुना रोदसी उभे धूमेन धावते दिवि । तिरस्तमो ददृश ऊर्म्यास्वा श्यावास्वरुषो वृषा श्यावा अरुषो वृषा ॥
ā yaḥ paprau bhānunā rodasī ubhe dhūmena dhāvate divi | tiras tamo dadṛśa ūrmyāsv ā śyāvāsv aruṣo vṛṣā śyāvā aruṣo vṛṣā ||

English translation:

“He who fills both heaven and earth with light, who mounts with smoke into the sky, this radiant showerer (of benefits) is beheld in the dark nights dispersing the gloom; this radiant showerer (of benefits) presides over the dark nights.”
