अस्मा॑ ए॒तन्मह्या॑ङ्गू॒षम॑स्मा॒ इन्द्रा॑य स्तो॒त्रं म॒तिभि॑रवाचि । अस॒द्यथा॑ मह॒ति वृ॑त्र॒तूर्य॒ इन्द्रो॑ वि॒श्वायु॑रवि॒ता वृ॒धश्च॑ ॥
अस्मा एतन्मह्याङ्गूषमस्मा इन्द्राय स्तोत्रं मतिभिरवाचि । असद्यथा महति वृत्रतूर्य इन्द्रो विश्वायुरविता वृधश्च ॥
asmā etan mahy āṅgūṣam asmā indrāya stotram matibhir avāci | asad yathā mahati vṛtratūrya indro viśvāyur avitā vṛdhaś ca ||

English translation:

“To this Indra has this earnest eulogy been addressed by the devout, in order that the all-pervading Indra may be our defender and exalter in the great conflict with (our) foes.”
