त्वं तदु॒क्थमि॑न्द्र ब॒र्हणा॑ क॒: प्र यच्छ॒ता स॒हस्रा॑ शूर॒ दर्षि॑ । अव॑ गि॒रेर्दासं॒ शम्ब॑रं ह॒न्प्रावो॒ दिवो॑दासं चि॒त्राभि॑रू॒ती ॥
त्वं तदुक्थमिन्द्र बर्हणा कः प्र यच्छता सहस्रा शूर दर्षि । अव गिरेर्दासं शम्बरं हन्प्रावो दिवोदासं चित्राभिरूती ॥
tvaṃ tad uktham indra barhaṇā kaḥ pra yac chatā sahasrā śūra darṣi | ava girer dāsaṃ śambaraṃ han prāvo divodāsaṃ citrābhir ūtī ||

English translation:

Indra, who are the subduer (of foes), you have achieved a glorious (deed), inasmuch as you have scatered, hero, the hundreds and thousands (of the host of Śambara), have slain the slave Śambara (when issuing) from the mountain, and have protected Divodāsa with marvellous protections.”
