अध॑ स्मा ते चर्ष॒णयो॒ यदेजा॒निन्द्र॑ त्रा॒तोत भ॑वा वरू॒ता । अ॒स्माका॑सो॒ ये नृत॑मासो अ॒र्य इन्द्र॑ सू॒रयो॑ दधि॒रे पु॒रो न॑: ॥
अध स्मा ते चर्षणयो यदेजानिन्द्र त्रातोत भवा वरूता । अस्माकासो ये नृतमासो अर्य इन्द्र सूरयो दधिरे पुरो नः ॥
adha smā te carṣaṇayo yad ejān indra trātota bhavā varūtā | asmākāso ye nṛtamāso arya indra sūrayo dadhire puro naḥ ||
English translation:
“Therefore, Indra, when your people tremble (with fear), protect them; be to them a defender; may those who are our chief leaders be enjoyers (of your favour), as well as those (your) worshippers who have plural ced us foremost (to perform the sacrifice).”
