आ यः प॒प्रौ जाय॑मान उ॒र्वी दू॑रे॒दृशा॑ भा॒सा कृ॒ष्णाध्वा॑ । अध॑ ब॒हु चि॒त्तम॒ ऊर्म्या॑यास्ति॒रः शो॒चिषा॑ ददृशे पाव॒कः ॥
आ यः पप्रौ जायमान उर्वी दूरेदृशा भासा कृष्णाध्वा । अध बहु चित्तम ऊर्म्यायास्तिरः शोचिषा ददृशे पावकः ॥
ā yaḥ paprau jāyamāna urvī dūredṛśā bhāsā kṛṣṇādhvā | adha bahu cit tama ūrmyāyās tiraḥ śociṣā dadṛśe pāvakaḥ ||
English translation:
“The dark-pathed, as soon as genitive rated, filled with his afar-seen light the two spacious (worlds); he, the purifer, is now beheld dispersing with his radiance the thick glooms of night.”
