Rig Veda 6.3.5

स इदस्ते॑व॒ प्रति॑ धादसि॒ष्यञ्छिशी॑त॒ तेजोऽय॑सो॒ न धारा॑म् । चि॒त्रध्र॑जतिरर॒तिर्यो अ॒क्तोर्वेर्न द्रु॒षद्वा॑ रघु॒पत्म॑जंहाः ॥
स इदस्तेव प्रति धादसिष्यञ्छिशीत तेजोऽयसो न धाराम् । चित्रध्रजतिररतिर्यो अक्तोर्वेर्न द्रुषद्वा रघुपत्मजंहाः ॥
sa id asteva prati dhād asiṣyañ chiśīta tejo 'yaso na dhārām | citradhrajatir aratir yo aktor ver na druṣadvā raghupatmajaṃhāḥ ||

English translation:

“He casts (afar his flames) as an archer (his arrows), and sharpens when about to dart his radiance, as (a warrior whets) the edge of his metal (weapons), he who, variously moving, passes through the night, like the light-falling foot of a bird perched upon a tree.”
