Rig Veda 5.61.8

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

उ॒त घा॒ नेमो॒ अस्तु॑त॒: पुमाँ॒ इति॑ ब्रुवे प॒णिः । स वैर॑देय॒ इत्स॒मः ॥
उत घा नेमो अस्तुतः पुमाँ इति ब्रुवे पणिः । स वैरदेय इत्समः ॥
uta ghā nemo astutaḥ pumām̐ iti bruve paṇiḥ | sa vairadeya it samaḥ ||

English translation:

“And, eulogizing (him), I proclaim that the man, her (other) half is, (as it were), uncommended, for he is ever the same in munificent donations.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Her other half: nemaḥ is the term of the text; liṭ, half as it is said in the Sṃṛti, ardham śarīrasya bhāryā, wife is the half of the body (of the husband)
