अनू॑नो॒दत्र॒ हस्त॑यतो॒ अद्रि॒रार्च॒न्येन॒ दश॑ मा॒सो नव॑ग्वाः । ऋ॒तं य॒ती स॒रमा॒ गा अ॑विन्द॒द्विश्वा॑नि स॒त्याङ्गि॑राश्चकार ॥
अनूनोदत्र हस्तयतो अद्रिरार्चन्येन दश मासो नवग्वाः । ऋतं यती सरमा गा अविन्दद्विश्वानि सत्याङ्गिराश्चकार ॥
anūnod atra hastayato adrir ārcan yena daśa māso navagvāḥ | ṛtaṃ yatī saramā gā avindad viśvāni satyāṅgirāś cakāra ||
English translation:
“At this sacrifice the stone (set in motion) by the hands (of the priests) makes a noise, whereby the nine-months ministrants celebrated the ten-months worship; when Saramā, going to the ceremony, discovered the cattle, and Aṅgiras rendered all the rites effective.”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
Ten-months worship: or, when the priests of both the nine and ten months rites offered worship;
Saramā: may signify either flowing, eulogistic, or sacred speech, śaraṇaśīlā stutirūpa vāk, or, as usual, the bitch of Indra
