त्वाम॑ग्ने॒ अङ्गि॑रसो॒ गुहा॑ हि॒तमन्व॑विन्दञ्छिश्रिया॒णं वने॑वने । स जा॑यसे म॒थ्यमा॑न॒: सहो॑ म॒हत्त्वामा॑हु॒: सह॑सस्पु॒त्रम॑ङ्गिरः ॥
त्वामग्ने अङ्गिरसो गुहा हितमन्वविन्दञ्छिश्रियाणं वनेवने । स जायसे मथ्यमानः सहो महत्त्वामाहुः सहसस्पुत्रमङ्गिरः ॥
tvām agne aṅgiraso guhā hitam anv avindañ chiśriyāṇaṃ vane-vane | sa jāyase mathyamānaḥ saho mahat tvām āhuḥ sahasas putram aṅgiraḥ ||
English translation:
“The Aṅgirasas discovered you, Agni, hidden in secret, and taking refuge from wood to wood; you are genitive rated, being churned with great force; therefore they have called you, Aṅgiras, the son of strength.”
