Rig Veda 5.2.2

कमे॒तं त्वं यु॑वते कुमा॒रं पेषी॑ बिभर्षि॒ महि॑षी जजान । पू॒र्वीर्हि गर्भ॑: श॒रदो॑ व॒वर्धाप॑श्यं जा॒तं यदसू॑त मा॒ता ॥
कमेतं त्वं युवते कुमारं पेषी बिभर्षि महिषी जजान । पूर्वीर्हि गर्भः शरदो ववर्धापश्यं जातं यदसूत माता ॥
kam etaṃ tvaṃ yuvate kumāram peṣī bibharṣi mahiṣī jajāna | pūrvīr hi garbhaḥ śarado vavardhāpaśyaṃ jātaṃ yad asūta mātā ||

English translation:

“Young mother, what boy is this whom you, (become) a malevolent spirit, foster? The mighty (queen) has given him birth; the embryo has thrived through many years; I have seen him born as the mother brought him forth.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

The allusion to the product of fire by attrition is blended with reference to the circumstances narrated in the legend described in the notes of the previous verse
