यत्सं॒वत्स॑मृ॒भवो॒ गामर॑क्ष॒न्यत्सं॒वत्स॑मृ॒भवो॒ मा अपिं॑शन् । यत्सं॒वत्स॒मभ॑र॒न्भासो॑ अस्या॒स्ताभि॒: शमी॑भिरमृत॒त्वमा॑शुः ॥
यत्संवत्समृभवो गामरक्षन्यत्संवत्समृभवो मा अपिंशन् । यत्संवत्समभरन्भासो अस्यास्ताभिः शमीभिरमृतत्वमाशुः ॥
yat saṃvatsam ṛbhavo gām arakṣan yat saṃvatsam ṛbhavo mā apiṃśan | yat saṃvatsam abharan bhāso asyās tābhiḥ śamībhir amṛtatvam āśuḥ ||

English translation:

“Inasmuch as for a year the Ṛbhus preserved the (dead) cow, inasmuch as for a year they invested it with flesh, inasmuch as for a year they continued its beauty they obtained by their acts of immortality.”
