Rig Veda 4.30.12

Sanskrit text [Accents, Plain, Transliterated]:

उ॒त सिन्धुं॑ विबा॒ल्यं॑ वितस्था॒नामधि॒ क्षमि॑ । परि॑ ष्ठा इन्द्र मा॒यया॑ ॥
उत सिन्धुं विबाल्यं वितस्थानामधि क्षमि । परि ष्ठा इन्द्र मायया ॥
uta sindhuṃ vibālyaṃ vitasthānām adhi kṣami | pari ṣṭhā indra māyayā ||

English translation:

“You have spread abroad upon the earth, by your contrivance, the swollen Sindhu when arrested (on its course).”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Sindhu vibālyam vitasthānam : vigatabālyāvasthām, whose youth was passed, i.e., who was full of water, sampūrṇajalam, and vitiṣṭhamānam, stopping or being stopped
