ग॒व्यन्त॒ इन्द्रं॑ स॒ख्याय॒ विप्रा॑ अश्वा॒यन्तो॒ वृष॑णं वा॒जय॑न्तः । ज॒नी॒यन्तो॑ जनि॒दामक्षि॑तोति॒मा च्या॑वयामोऽव॒ते न कोश॑म् ॥
गव्यन्त इन्द्रं सख्याय विप्रा अश्वायन्तो वृषणं वाजयन्तः । जनीयन्तो जनिदामक्षितोतिमा च्यावयामोऽवते न कोशम् ॥
gavyanta indraṃ sakhyāya viprā aśvāyanto vṛṣaṇaṃ vājayantaḥ | janīyanto janidām akṣitotim ā cyāvayāmo 'vate na kośam ||
English translation:
“May we (who are) wishing for cattle, for horses, for food, for wives, through his friendship induce Indra, the showerer (of benefits), the giver of wives, the unwearied granter of protection, to come down, as a bucket (is lowered) into a well.”
