Rig Veda 3.47.2

स॒जोषा॑ इन्द्र॒ सग॑णो म॒रुद्भि॒: सोमं॑ पिब वृत्र॒हा शू॑र वि॒द्वान् । ज॒हि शत्रूँ॒रप॒ मृधो॑ नुद॒स्वाथाभ॑यं कृणुहि वि॒श्वतो॑ नः ॥
सजोषा इन्द्र सगणो मरुद्भिः सोमं पिब वृत्रहा शूर विद्वान् । जहि शत्रूँरप मृधो नुदस्वाथाभयं कृणुहि विश्वतो नः ॥
sajoṣā indra sagaṇo marudbhiḥ somam piba vṛtrahā śūra vidvān | jahi śatrūm̐r apa mṛdho nudasvāthābhayaṃ kṛṇuhi viśvato naḥ ||

English translation:

Indra, hero, rejoicing with and accompanied by the host of Maruts, drink the Soma, for you are the slayer of Vṛtra the sage; subdue our enemies, drive away the malevolent, make us safe on every side from peril.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Yajus. 7.37; drive away the malevolent: apanudasva mṛdhaḥ = drive away all those who are engaged in battle, i.e. enemies; or keep off from us battles;
