ए॒ना व॒यं पय॑सा॒ पिन्व॑माना॒ अनु॒ योनिं॑ दे॒वकृ॑तं॒ चर॑न्तीः । न वर्त॑वे प्रस॒वः सर्ग॑तक्तः किं॒युर्विप्रो॑ न॒द्यो॑ जोहवीति ॥
एना वयं पयसा पिन्वमाना अनु योनिं देवकृतं चरन्तीः । न वर्तवे प्रसवः सर्गतक्तः किंयुर्विप्रो नद्यो जोहवीति ॥
enā vayam payasā pinvamānā anu yoniṃ devakṛtaṃ carantīḥ | na vartave prasavaḥ sargataktaḥ kiṃyur vipro nadyo johavīti ||
English translation:
“The rivers speak: Fertilizing (the land) with this (our) current, we are flowing to the receptacle which has been appointed by the deity (Indra); the course appointed for our going (permits) not of delay; of what is the sage desirious, that he addresses the rivers?”
