पति॑र्भव वृत्रहन्त्सू॒नृता॑नां गि॒रां वि॒श्वायु॑र्वृष॒भो व॑यो॒धाः । आ नो॑ गहि स॒ख्येभि॑: शि॒वेभि॑र्म॒हान्म॒हीभि॑रू॒तिभि॑: सर॒ण्यन् ॥
पतिर्भव वृत्रहन्त्सूनृतानां गिरां विश्वायुर्वृषभो वयोधाः । आ नो गहि सख्येभिः शिवेभिर्महान्महीभिरूतिभिः सरण्यन् ॥
patir bhava vṛtrahan sūnṛtānāṃ girāṃ viśvāyur vṛṣabho vayodhāḥ | ā no gahi sakhyebhiḥ śivebhir mahān mahībhir ūtibhiḥ saraṇyan ||
English translation:
“Slayer of Vṛtra, do you, who is long lived the showerer (of benefits), the giver of food, be the lord of our true praises, repairing (to the sacrifice), come to us great, with great, friendly, and auspicious protections.”
