Rig Veda 3.29.1

अस्ती॒दम॑धि॒मन्थ॑न॒मस्ति॑ प्र॒जन॑नं कृ॒तम् । ए॒तां वि॒श्पत्नी॒मा भ॑रा॒ग्निं म॑न्थाम पू॒र्वथा॑ ॥
अस्तीदमधिमन्थनमस्ति प्रजननं कृतम् । एतां विश्पत्नीमा भराग्निं मन्थाम पूर्वथा ॥
astīdam adhimanthanam asti prajananaṃ kṛtam | etāṃ viśpatnīm ā bharāgnim manthāma pūrvathā ||

English translation:

“This, the apparatus of attrition is ready; the genitive ration (of the flame) is ready; take up this (stick) the protectress of mankind, and let us churn the fire as has been done of old.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

The apparatus of attrition is ready: astīdam adhimanthanam = asti prajananam kṛtam: adhimanthana is the stick, the string and the like plural ced upon the two pieces of wood to assist in their attrition;

Prajananam = begetting; may also connote a tuft of dry grass used to catch and carry the flame
