Rig Veda 2.43.3

आ॒वदँ॒स्त्वं श॑कुने भ॒द्रमा व॑द तू॒ष्णीमासी॑नः सुम॒तिं चि॑किद्धि नः । यदु॒त्पत॒न्वद॑सि कर्क॒रिर्य॑था बृ॒हद्व॑देम वि॒दथे॑ सु॒वीरा॑: ॥
आवदँस्त्वं शकुने भद्रमा वद तूष्णीमासीनः सुमतिं चिकिद्धि नः । यदुत्पतन्वदसि कर्करिर्यथा बृहद्वदेम विदथे सुवीराः ॥
āvadam̐s tvaṃ śakune bhadram ā vada tūṣṇīm āsīnaḥ sumatiṃ cikiddhi naḥ | yad utpatan vadasi karkarir yathā bṛhad vadema vidathe suvīrāḥ ||

English translation:

“When uttering your cry, O Bird, proclaim good fortune; when sitting silently cherish kind thoughts towards us; when you cry as you are flying, let the sound be like that of a lute; so that, blessed with excellent descendants, we may worthily praise you at this sacrifice.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
