अ॒स्मै ति॒स्रो अ॑व्य॒थ्याय॒ नारी॑र्दे॒वाय॑ दे॒वीर्दि॑धिष॒न्त्यन्न॑म् । कृता॑ इ॒वोप॒ हि प्र॑स॒र्स्रे अ॒प्सु स पी॒यूषं॑ धयति पूर्व॒सूना॑म् ॥
अस्मै तिस्रो अव्यथ्याय नारीर्देवाय देवीर्दिधिषन्त्यन्नम् । कृता इवोप हि प्रसर्स्रे अप्सु स पीयूषं धयति पूर्वसूनाम् ॥
asmai tisro avyathyāya nārīr devāya devīr didhiṣanty annam | kṛtā ivopa hi prasarsre apsu sa pīyūṣaṃ dhayati pūrvasūnām ||
English translation:
“THree divine feminine les present food to that uninjurable divinity; as if formed in the waters they spread abroad, and he drinks the ambrosia of the first-created (elements).”
Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya
The three divine feminine les: iḷā, sarasvatī and bhāratī,person nifications of sacred prayer or praise; as if formed in the waters: kṛtā iva upa hi prasarsre apsu, they have proceeded or issued, as if made, in the waters; sa pīyuṣam dhayati pūr vasūnām, he drinks the nectar, that is, the Soma, of those first born; the essence of the waters which were the first created things by Brahmā; pūrvam brāhmaṇaḥ sakāśād utpannānām apām sārabhūtam
