अव॑ क्षिप दि॒वो अश्मा॑नमु॒च्चा येन॒ शत्रुं॑ मन्दसा॒नो नि॒जूर्वा॑: । तो॒कस्य॑ सा॒तौ तन॑यस्य॒ भूरे॑र॒स्माँ अ॒र्धं कृ॑णुतादिन्द्र॒ गोना॑म् ॥
अव क्षिप दिवो अश्मानमुच्चा येन शत्रुं मन्दसानो निजूर्वाः । तोकस्य सातौ तनयस्य भूरेरस्माँ अर्धं कृणुतादिन्द्र गोनाम् ॥
ava kṣipa divo aśmānam uccā yena śatrum mandasāno nijūrvāḥ | tokasya sātau tanayasya bhūrer asmām̐ ardhaṃ kṛṇutād indra gonām ||
English translation:
“Do you, who are on high, cast down fromheaven the adamantine (thunderbolt), wherewith, when exhilarated, you did slay your foe; and make us affluent in the possession of many sons, and grandsons, and cattle.”
