Rig Veda 2.24.7

ऋ॒तावा॑नः प्रति॒चक्ष्यानृ॑ता॒ पुन॒रात॒ आ त॑स्थुः क॒वयो॑ म॒हस्प॒थः । ते बा॒हुभ्यां॑ धमि॒तम॒ग्निमश्म॑नि॒ नकि॒: षो अ॒स्त्यर॑णो ज॒हुर्हि तम् ॥
ऋतावानः प्रतिचक्ष्यानृता पुनरात आ तस्थुः कवयो महस्पथः । ते बाहुभ्यां धमितमग्निमश्मनि नकिः षो अस्त्यरणो जहुर्हि तम् ॥
ṛtāvānaḥ praticakṣyānṛtā punar āta ā tasthuḥ kavayo mahas pathaḥ | te bāhubhyāṃ dhamitam agnim aśmani nakiḥ ṣo asty araṇo jahur hi tam ||

English translation:

“Those sages, eminent for truth, having seen through the false (illusions of the asura), again pursued the main road thither, and with their hands cast against the rock the destructive fire, which, till then, was not there.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Nakh ṣo asti = that is not; i.e. so agniḥ pūrvam tatra nakir asti, na vidyate, that fire formerly is not there, is not known; but they, of their own power, having produced the fire that was not known, or was not extant, threw it there: avidyamānam agnim svasāmarthyād utpādya tatra pracikṣipuḥ; this is an allusion to the dissemination of fire-worship by the aṅgirasas
