अ॒भि त्वा॒ नक्ती॑रु॒षसो॑ ववाशि॒रेऽग्ने॑ व॒त्सं न स्वस॑रेषु धे॒नव॑: । दि॒व इ॒वेद॑र॒तिर्मानु॑षा यु॒गा क्षपो॑ भासि पुरुवार सं॒यत॑: ॥
अभि त्वा नक्तीरुषसो ववाशिरेऽग्ने वत्सं न स्वसरेषु धेनवः । दिव इवेदरतिर्मानुषा युगा क्षपो भासि पुरुवार संयतः ॥
abhi tvā naktīr uṣaso vavāśire 'gne vatsaṃ na svasareṣu dhenavaḥ | diva ived aratir mānuṣā yugā kṣapo bhāsi puruvāra saṃyataḥ ||

English translation:

“The mornings and evenings, Agni, are desirous (of worshipping) you, as cows in their stalls long for their calves; adored of many, you, self-controlled, are verily spread through the sky; you (are present at all) the sacred rites of men, and shine brightly by night.”
